Without a home
These images are supposed to allow us to think about what we are doing to our world-how we are depleating other creatures' habitats and extending our own. In these images, the people do not even seem to notice the animals that I have placed into these landscapes, just as we do not take the time to notice what our actions are doing now to the future of these creatures.

Human rights violations in Burma (Myanmar)
These are photos I took in Thailand (opium addict and Padaung tribe) and Burma (the monks). Burma has had ongoing conflict for decades where the ethnic tribes and general population are not free to practice their own religions or have basic human rights. The Military Junta that control the country imprison anyone who speaks out and they have tortured, murdered and raped. Peaceful resistance of monks protesting only lead to death and violence at the hands of the Junta. Farmers are forced to turn their fields into opium growing poppy fields to benefit the greedy Junta and there seems to be no end.

Animal Cruelty
I decided to do my project on animal cruelty in a few different aspects. All three topics: seal clubbing, overpopulation in animal shelters, and puppy mills are all very upsetting to me and I tried to show these issues in an intense way to catch peoples attention. I think shocking people makes them realize how we can't just ignore these problems in the world. I used alot of text only because these facts are extremely important and really make us understand how bad these statistics are getting.

Basic Civil Liberties
These images display the Freedom of Speech, the Freedom of Religion, and the Freedom of Press. I think all are important civil liberties. Freedom of Press was a tricky one for me at least coming up with a relatable image. Though we have the freedom to read and write in the media..not everything we see we should believe. Therefore, I think this civil liberty allows us to form our own opinions on matters that may be perceived differently by the media.

Political Topic: Illegal Immigration
For this project I wanted to focus on the topic of illegal immigration. I believe that anyone who enters America should receive the same benefits as an American. I feel that some people believe illegal immigrants are not human and should not be granted the same rights as they do, I disagree with this belief. These pieces reflect my opinion on the matter.
Political Project
World Foundation For Wildlife; a serious satire on WWF
These pictures are for the serious issues of animal abuse and neglect. I, personally eat meat, so this isn't a ploy to get everyone to become vegetarian but it is an announcement to get everyone to think twice before they pull a trigger.
On a side note, this is the first time I used the stylus and I am seriously debating getting one now. I decide to try my hand at making a satire of the WWF panda with another monochromatic friend, the Zebra. The little boy is actually from a picture of me and my brother when we were tricker-or-treating as little kids. He fit in perfectly for the project.
I am proud of the advertisements I made, i am just sad they had to be made in the first place.
Danielle_Salvador Dali recreation
Salvador Dali had a lot of really strange images that were hard to wrap your mind around, most of them containing these elephants with really long skeleton-looking legs. I decided to play off of his strangeness and create a background similiar to his by painting, but I also wanted it to have a surreal affect, so I used real images of elephants. I feel that Salvador Dali would approve of this strange image.
Danielle____Modest Mouse
I listen to Modest Mouse all of the time, and when I hear them, they put me in a strange, happy little mood, and I wanted to reflect that feeling off of my gig poster. The use of bubbles was supposed to represent the bubbly feeling I get when I hear Modest Mouse, and the hands/arms are kind of fun but creepy at the same time. The colors are bright and fun, but there is also a sense of something lacking with my poster, so you should go and see them to find out what that is.
